Major Moscow's Attacks Disrupt Electricity Throughout Kyiv

Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
The country's energy systems have faced increased strikes in the past few days

Throughout the evening, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have caused blackouts in large parts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

Nine people were hurt while inhabitants in eastern neighborhoods were plunged into darkness and encountered problems to drinking water, per reports from municipal leaders.

Meanwhile, a young boy was killed in a different assault in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southern area, as reported by area administrators.

Moscow has intensified assaults on energy facilities over the last fortnight, while the country's government has demanded "concrete actions" from allies to apply pressure on Moscow.

"The necessity is not symbolic gestures but firm measures - from the US, European nations and the G7 - in delivering defensive weapons and implementing restrictions," he wrote in a public message.

He said that numerous aerial vehicles and over thirty missiles struck Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such assaults as "strategic and deliberate" and against "critical infrastructure" as winter approaches.

The energy minister said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and repair crews were laboring to repair systems.

A barrage of missiles damaged power facilities and civilian homes in the capital.

Five out of the nine people wounded in the strikes on the capital have been hospitalized, according to local officials.

Regional authorities said the metropolitan region experienced heavy assaults overnight. A minor was killed and three other people were injured.

The attacks come after periods of aerial attacks in the territory, parts of which are occupied by Moscow's military.

The whole nation is under warning for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are harder to detect.

Government officials told journalists that Moscow was intentionally trying to demolish the electrical infrastructure, with strikes already disrupting energy systems.

He said technical personnel and government agencies were preparing for more assaults.
